70's Style Infusion

Maybe because I'm a 70's child, I have some deep seeded memory points from my childhood that continue to cause a subtle infusion of 70's style into my life. Or perhaps it's the fashion influence of my "Jackie O'-esque" mother with those fabulous outfits and-- oh those silver, metallic kitten heels I used to wear in the yard when I was about 7yrs old. Whatever the raison d'ĂȘtre, I didn't even really notice it until a recent purchase for my studio in Boston slapped me with joy so hard, I started thinking- "I need more of this happiness!" Little did I realize, it's actually all around me at home. It seems comical, after taking some inventory, just how much 70's style is in my life. Who knew? (probably everyone around me)

Here is the new love in my office. This Slim Aarons photograph "Poolside Gossip" is so genius and please tell me "why do we not wear outfits like that anymore?"
At home, I have these random vintage dresses that I will likely never wear but found them at Brimfield and was totally sold after hearing the life story of the original owner. (I'm such a sucker)

I have lucite, glass, and white lacquer things everywhere

I have Better Homes and Garden decorating books from the 70's and color block heels on my bookshelf? Ready for spring (they make me cheery)

Here is my super fun Mom, holding me and looking fabulous circa 1970

I don't see anything nowadays that didn't find inspiration from the 1930's through the 1970's.

He designed Halston's house. (LOVE- obsessed)

You can actually rent out the Modulighter building for events.

  1. Love the artwork, Stayci. The new office space is just to die for.

I want to be one of those women lounging by the pool. Look at their hair! I'm really inspired by the 'do that the woman in yellow is sporting.

And since I bought two cute vintage trapeze dresses last week, which I WILL be wearing, all I need to do is find a pool and a cocktail!
